Libyan - Kenyan relations highlighted

Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gaddafi on Sunday received a message from Kenyan President Daniel arap Moi, in which the latter expressed his country's wish to develop relations with Libya for the mutual interests of the two countries.
In his message which was delivered by a special envoy during his meeting with Gaddafi yesterday in Tripoli, the Kenyan President underlined the importance of uniting the efforts of the African states to meet all challenges and "foster security, stability and development in Africa."
The Kenyan president praised decisions approved by the recent African summit in which the African countries announced deliberate rejection of the sanctions imposed on Libya as of September 1 if the US and Britain do not positively respond to proposed initiatives to settle Lockerbie crisis.
Meanwhile, Gaddafi on Sunday discussed with the Tunisian ambassador in Tripoli, al-Mabrouk al-Bahri, the firm relations between the two countries in all fields and means of fostering bilateral ties.
