Libya accuses US and Israel of planing to strike it

In a statement issued by the Libyan Foreign Ministry on Friday, Libya accused the US and Israel of planning to launch an attack on its territories for their belief that Tripoli is developing weapons of mass destruction with the assistance of Iraqi experts.
The Libyan Foreign Ministry said in the statement that Libyan does not own these weapons and warned against any attack.
The statement said that western diplomatic sources revealed a series of meetings recently held in Tel Aviv with the attendance of Israeli and US military leaders, during which they discussed plans to conduct a military action.
The Libyan foreign ministry also said in the statement that a US Congress committee published a report in which it alleged that Iraqi scientists support Libya in developing weapons of mass destruction.
