Opposition is not a threat to security says official

Moroccan deputy secretary-general of the Popular Constitutional Democratic Movement excluded the possibility of Islamic extremism moving from Algeria to Morocco.
The Islamist official Abdul-Elah Bankir stated that the Islamist opposition is neither negative nor represents a threat to the country's security.
Bankir said that the nature of Morocco and its historical forms a barrier and provides immunity against Islamist extremism, adding that Algeria has undergone special circumstances in its history which are totally different from those Morocco has experienced.
He said also that despite negatives confronting Morocco in the performance of some previous governments, Morocco has overcome its crises.
Meanwhile the leader of the independence party, Abass El-Fassi, who participates in the government of Prime Minister Abdul-Rahman El-Youssoufi, called for insuring free elections free of corruption. El-Fassi also criticized the distribution of posts in the current government.
