Iraq, Iran for prompt solution to prisoners question

The Iraqi News Agency said on Wednesday said that Baghdad and Tehran have agreed to cooperate in order to find a prompt solution to the question of prisoners and those missing in action during the Iraqi - Iranian war.
This unanimous approval came at the conclusion of one-week talks held in Baghdad between an Iranian delegation led by Maj. Gen. Abdullah Najafi and an Iraqi delegation led by Abdul Menem Qadi.
Last April, the two countries resumed exchanges of prisoners of war. During April 2 - 7 some 5,584 Iraqi prisoners were exchanged against 319 Iranians.
