Israeli consul visits Azam Azam in Cairo prison

Egyptian sources said yesterday that the Israeli consul in Cairo paid a visit on Thursday to convicted Israeli spy Azam Azam, who is serving a sentence of 15 years in Liman Torah prison after being found guilty of spying for Israel's Mossad. The consul made assurances about the state of Azam's health and the treatment inside the prison, while Azam asked about the date of his release during the meeting, the sources said.
