Computer science symposium held at Damascus University

A symposium on computer science in relation to the Arabic language and the apportunities it represents in education was held in Damascus on Tuesday. It was attended by chairman of the Syrian informatics society Dr. Bashar al-Assad and organized by the Ministry of Higher Education.
A lecture delivered on computer-aided teaching and learning of languages highlighted the importance of learning computer skills especially at the university level, where it can serve three main goals, namely in the field of teaching in general, in translation and as a tool to step up and develop work for the student and for the teacher alike.
