Sudanese President confers with Kenyan FM
Sudan-Kenya, Politics, 6/24/1998
Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir on Tuesday received Kenya's Foreign Minister Godana Bonaya.
Meanwhile, Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael denied on Monday news that his country has asked for transferring the location of peace negotiations with the southern rebel Sudanese People's Liberation Army, scheduled to be convened in August in Addis Ababa, due to the conflict between Eritrea and Ethiopia.
Earlier, Sudanese dailies reported that the Sudanese government asked for the location of negotiations to be transferred during the official talks the Sudanese FM held on Sunday with his Kenyan counterpart.
Rather the Sudanese FM elaborated he had discussed with his Kenyan counterpart on means of achieving successful negotiations with the southern rebels.
