Jordanian foreign minister: Jordan waits for Kuwaiti decision to open embassies

Jawad al-Anani, the Jordanian deputy prime minister and foreign minister, said in press statements that Ammam is awaiting a decision from the Kuwaiti government to approve the opening of the Jordanian embassy in Kuwait and raising relations between the two countries to the ambassadorial level.
He said the Jordanians feel a desire from Kuwaiti officials to resume relations at the former level before the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Al-Anani confirmed that the Kuwaiti - Jordanian relations recently started viewing a remarkable improvement since exchanging the messages among officials in the two countries.
