Increasing trade between Egyptian and France to $930 million

Egyptian economic studies issued by the Arab assembly for reconomic research, confirmed that trade increased between Egyptian and France during 1997, to $929 million, from $524 million in 1996, an increase of 77%. The study ranked Egypt as the fifth-highest Arab trade partner with France after Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.
Egyptian exports to France reached $125 million during 1997, whereas imports reached about $804 million.
