Qatar and Algeria agree upon a wide cooperation program

Qatar and Algeria agreed upon a wide program for trade and economic cooperation.
Qatar's Finance Minister Youssef Hussein and Algeria's Finance Minister Abdul Karim Marchawy agreed to the cooperation program which will include the fields of secondary and higher education, in addition to the health sector.
The Algerian minister of finance said: "We have agreed upon establishing a joint council for Qatari and Algerian businessmen, where this agreement will be signed in Algeria soon. Also agreed upon is a project to avoid double taxation, confirming that this agreement will encourage joint investment."
A department for financing joint private investment between the two countries to facilitate trade will be set up along with opening a line for sea transport between Doha and Algeria, and encouraging airline companies to conduct direct flights between the two countries.
A fair for Qatari products will be arranged in Algeria as well as a committee for following up on the implementation of the cooperation program that was agreed upon.
