Moritanos to Cairo next Saturday

The European Union's peace process coordinator, Miguel Moritanos, will arrive on Saturday in Cairo, where he will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Foreign Minister Amr Moussa, and Arab League Secretary-General Esmat Abdul Meguid to discuss the importance of raising the level of Arab - European coordination in the coming period.
Diplomatic sources confirmed that Moratinos is trying to persuade Israel of the importance of withdrawal from 13% of Palestinian territories in the West Bank and that if the European mediation failed, then Europe will focus on coordination with the Arab side, and that the Arabs and Europe should stand side by side.
