French concern over Israeli settlement schemes

France said yesterday that Israel's Judaization plan for Jerusalem declared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a matter of great anxiety and will create more complications for the Middle East peace process.
Spokeswoman for the French Foreign Ministry said yesterday in Paris that her country will urge the Israeli government to refrain from carrying out such a plan.. She asserted that any unilateral changes in the status of the lands occupied by Israel in 1967 are in contradiction with the signed agreements. She continued the that countries of the European Union EU foreign ministers will discuss this issue during their next week's meeting to be held in Brussels.
