Iraq accuses Turkey of the procrastination concerning Euphrates water

Iraqi Minister of Irrigation Muhammad Deyab El-Ahmed said, "Negotiations are continuing between Iraq and Syria concerning use of the water of the Euphrates river," which passes through Turkey and then to Syria and Iraq.
The Iraqi minister accused the Turkish government of procrastination in settling disputes resulting from Turkey's holding large portions of the Euphrates' water.
The Iraqi minister stated that Iraq has called many times for joint meetings among the three countries to solve these disputes and solve the Euphrates water problem according to international law and good neighbor policy.
