Morocco-South Africa, Politics, 6/23/1998

Abdelouahed Radi, speaker of the House of Representatives (the lower house of the Moroccan Parliament), conferred monday in Rabat with a South African MP delegation on ways of boosting cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies.

Talks also covered ways to upgrade contacts between Moroccan and South African MPs and businessmen in addition to the latest developments in Africa and the world, Map reported.

The South African delegation, led by Benedict Martins, chairman of the equipment committee, held the same day a work session with a Moroccan MP committee in charge of production sectors.

The two countries' committees reviewed cooperation prospects in the fields of infrastructure, agriculture, fisheries, employment and rural world development.
