Italian prime minister in Tunis today

Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi is starting today an official visit to Tunisia aimed at enhancing bilateral relations, which viewed great improvement in the last year.
Tunisian sources confirmed that the Tunisian - Italian talks will focus on developing cooperation in many fields, topped by the commercial and investment sectors, as well as putting aside disputes in the areas of marine fishery, which lately caused friction between the Tunisian navy and Italian ships that were caught in protected areas within Tunisian waters.
The talks will also include the situation in the Mediterranean Sea area, the delay in the Middle East peace process and correcting the track of the regional cooperation between Mediterranean states in the horizons of the coming ministerial meeting in Stuttgart at the beginning of the coming year.
