Interrogating the Irani foreign minister tomorrow
Iran, Politics, 6/20/1998

Iranian Interior Minister Abdollah Nouri will be questioned tomorrow in Tehran by the Iranian consultation council.

A consultation council source told ArabicNews.com that the questioning will focus on eight essential issues, including the Ministry of Interior's actions in facing Asfahan's and Nagaf Abd's events, the supporting moves to Ayatollah Hussein Ali Montazari, and Nouri's lack of communication with the Ministry of Intelligence before appointing ministry and government officials concerning security matters in sensitive areas.

The conservative party is trying to win a no-confidence vote so that Nouri can be removed from his post.

31 deputies from the conservative majority in the parliament presented a request to the parliament's chairman to question the minister of interior and vote on withdrawing the trust.
