Egypt confirms that there is no nuclear waste in the Nile
Egypt-Uganda, Politics, 6/20/1998
Egyptian Minister of Public Works and Water Resources Mohamoud Abu Zied confirmed that there are no traces of nuclear waste or any change in the kind of water in the Nile, denying reports that Uganda is dumping nuclear waste near the Nile's source for the benefit of Israel.
Abu Zied said that in formal communications Uganda disproved the reports. He presented satellites photos showing that the digging in this region is being carried out by international companies that have a license to work in petroleum exploration.
