Cairo criticizes postponement of Somali reconciliation conference

Ambassador Mohammed Shaban, the Egyptian assistant foreign minister for African affairs, described on Thursday the continued postponement of the Somali reconciliation conference as a "disaster for the peace efforts."
This statement is the first formal Egyptian reply of its kind on the part of the Cairo declaration toward the postponement of the national reconciliation conference in Somalia, which has been put off several times since last February.
