Israel embassy in Amman denies expelling the ambassador from restaurant

Spokesman for the Israeli embassy in Amman Roui Jalaad yesterday denied press reports which stated last week that the owner of a Barbecue restaurant called Abu Yahya expelled the chairman of the Israeli mission in Amman, Audid Aran from his restaurant in Jarash, just 50 Km north of Amman.
Last Saturday, the Jordanian weekly "Jordan" said that Abu Yahya refused to receive the Israeli ambassador, who was accompanied by Jordanian Parliamentarian Hamadeh Faraneh, adding that the two lodged complaints to the police who summoned Abu Yahya. Faraneh has been criticized because for his repeated visits to Israel.
