Jordan's Prime Minister arrives in Libya
Jordan-Libya, Politics, 6/18/1998
Jordan's Prime Minister Dr. Abdul-Salam Majali arrived in Libya after ending a two day official visit to Morocco to boast the bilateral relations with Tripoli.
Before leaving Rabat, Majali held a joint press conference with his Moroccan counterpart.
They stressed the need to intensify efforts to save the Middle East peace process.
Majali rejected a notion that the peace process is dead saying that it was facing several obstacles at the same time, but, "the achievement made on the Palestinian track so far should not be ignored." He said.
Jordan's Prime Minister blamed Israel for the stalemate in the peace process, "The Oslo agreement is the cornerstone to solve the Palestinian issue." He reiterated.
"Jordan," Majali said, "supports any Arab summit regardless of size, but it should be well prepared, or it will be a step in the wrong direction."
