Death and injury of 280 rebels in east Sudan

Sudanese government forces killed about 100 rebellions and injured another 180 in two battles at in the southern Blue Nile province in south Sudan.
The Sudanese newspaper Alwan reported yesterday that a spokesman in the Blue Nile state said government forces are moving toward El-Karmak state, the detained place of the Sudanese People's Liberation Army, who oppose the government under the leadership of John Garang that the rebels seized in the last year.
