Iran cancels press conference between reporters, Albright at the White House

Iranian sources confirmed that a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Iranian reporters scheduled to be held yesterday was canceled.
The press general manger in the Iranian guidance and Agriculture Ministry, Soher Fezan, confirmed that the meeting was canceled due to a lack of participants in this discussion session at the White House with Albright.
Press sources told ArabicNews.com that the conservative newspapers' refusal to travel to the American capital to hold a discussion with Albright, confirming that these newspapers consider Albright "a foreign minister for the Zionist entity in America."
The sources said that the non-conservative newspaper Ferda expressed its readiness to send a reporter to Washington, but without participating in the press meeting with Albright.
El-Mowaten newspaper affiliated with Tehran governorate and the Society, the independent newspaper close to the liberal circles, presented a request to hold a press meeting with President Clinton, but the request was refused and the White House decided to organize a discussion session between Albright and Iranian reporters in the White House itself.
