Saudi Arabia imports 13,000 tons of Palestinian agriculture
Palestine-Saudi Arabia, Agriculture, 6/18/1998
The Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture said that Saudi Arabia imported from Palestine more than 13,000 tons of agricultural products during the current agricultural season.
The manager of the marketing department in the Agriculture Ministry Khaled Zerair said that the total of Palestinian agricultural products imported by Saudi Arabia since the implementation of a decision exempting Palestinian products of customs fees was nearly 10 times greater than the amount imported last year, as its 1997 imports reached nearly 1,600 tons of various agricultural products.
Zerair stated that citrus exports to the countries of eastern and western Europe and some of the Arab states totaled 63 tons at beginning of the current month.
