Egyptian, Saudi officials discuss upcoming joint committee meeting

Ambassador Sayed Abu Zied, Egypt's assistant foreign minister for Arab affairs met on Tuesday with the Saudi ambassador in Cairo, Ibrahim al-Saad al-Ibrahimi.

Abu Zied said the meeting tackled preparations for the high joint committee meeting between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which is to be held on June 23 - 24 in Riyadh, under the leadership of Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and his Saudi counterpart Saud El-Faisal. The preliminary committee will meet on June 22 in advance of the high committee's meeting.

Moreover, Abu Zied added that the meeting tackles the ideas and suggestions that were recently exchanged between the concerned parties in the two countries to crystallize and prepare the high committee to work on enhancing the distinctive relations that link between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
