Jordan and Morocco sign cooperation agreements

Jordan and Morocco signed Tuesday, at the end of the first session of the high joint commission several cooperation agreements expected to pave the way for the creation of a free trade zone.
The documents were signed by Moroccan and Jordanian prime ministers, Abderrahmane Youssoufi and Abdessalam Majali in Rabat.
The agreements deal with encouragement of investments, road transport and tourism. The two prime ministers also signed protocols related to rules of origin, health, agriculture, administrative development, cooperatives, security, culture and preservation of historical monuments.
During his stay in Morocco, the Jordanian prime minister held talks with king Hassan II.
Part of the Jordanian delegation's activities in Morocco, the home minister was received on Tuesday by interior minister, Driss Basri, who expressed Morocco's determination to develop cooperation with Jordan in various sectors. The two ministers reviewed means to ease visa procedures between the two states, and cooperate against transnational crime and drug trafficking.
