Cooperation agreements between Egypt, Belarus
Egypt-Belarus, Economics, 6/17/1998
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday concluded a two-day visit to Egypt during which several agreements were signed, including agreements covering air-freighting, higher education, trade, information, veterinary, agriculture and avoiding double-taxation.
MENA quoted the visiting President as saying during his meeting with Egyptian businessmen that he had agreed with Egypt's President Mubarak to form a joint committee on economic and trade cooperation to boost relations between the two countries. He added that Cairo has agreed to manufacture several products from his country in Egypt, and thus Cairo is to be the starting point for marketing these products in Africa and the Middle East.
President Lukashenko added that his country seeks to participate in a project to setting up a new delta in Upper Egypt and to take part in the technology valley project Egypt is building in Sinai, noting that fields of cooperation between the two countries cover agriculture, refining oil, medicines, electronics, cars and machinery.
