Israeli fighter jets attack Sujoud

Israeli jet fighters on Tuesday afternoon attacked al-Tuffah district in south Lebanon. In a statement, Lebanese security sources said that two Israeli jets attacked a wooded area of Sujoud town and fired two rockets.
The sources added that the Israeli jets were intercepted by the Lebanese army and resistance anti-aircraft fire, noting that no casualties were reported among civilians.
Earlier in the day, Lebanese resistance fighters attacked joint Israeli - Lahd militia forces inside al-Qantara position in the central sector of south Lebanon. The position was shelled with mortars and direct hits were scored.
Meanwhile, the April Understanding Monitoring Committee started meetings at UN headquarters in Naqoura. The committee will discuss a Lebanese complaint filed against Israeli occupation troops which last week shelled residential areas on Joun, a town in al-Kharoub region, destroying several houses and causing great damage.
