Egyptian elected chairman of Diplomatic Conference Drafting Committee

Cherif Bassiouni of Egypt was elected as chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Diplomatic Conference on the Establishment of an International Criminal Court affiliated to the United Nations. Bassiouni is a professor of law at DePaul University in the United States since 1964 and president of the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences, Siracusa, Italy.
