Egyptian-Iranian relations discussed, investment agreement signed

Talks held between the first Iranian economic delegation to visit Egypt since 1979 stressed the need to purify relations between the two countries which may constitute "the Islamic world's two strong wings."

The chairman of the Iranian chamber of commerce and industry Ali Naqi Khamoushi, who is also chairman of the Iranian visiting delegation, stressed that during his meeting with Egypt's Foreign Minister Amr Moussa he stressed the need "to eliminate obstacles hindering the process of fostering relations between the two countries so as to be the two strong wings for the Islamic world."

The 27 business men and industrialists comprising the Iranian delegation spent four days in Cairo during which they signed an accord with the Federation of Egyptian Industries providing for boosting cooperation and joint investment, exchanging visits and organizing exhibitions.
