Osetiya President arrives in Damascus

President Alexander Dzasokov of North Osetiya-Alaniya Republic in Federal Russia arrived in Damascus on Monday for an official visit that will last for several days.
In an arrival statement to SANA, the visiting official expressed deep satisfaction over Syria's position and role in the Middle East region and the international arena. He called for boosting and strengthening bilateral relations for the two states' common welfare and mutual benefits.
He also expressed his happiness over visiting Syria. "This is my first visit outside my country after I assumed the post of President in Northern Osetiya," he said, adding that, "I will spare no efforts to develop relations between Syria and Osetiya in economic and technological fields."
Later in the day, Syrian Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs Dr. Salim Yassin discussed with the guest president relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries and means of developing them especially in economic and technical areas.
