Violence continues in Algeria

Algerian security forces and resistance killed 42 persons out of a 100-member group in Seidi al-Ghatri district of al-Rjam town in Yatsmisleit province. The Algerian Sawt al-Ahrar (voice of liberals) daily said the said Armed Islamic Group was behind assassination operations that took place during last months.

The "Liberty" daily said that four armed men were killed on Sunday in al-Zaweh district on the Algerian-Moroccan district, while security forces killed three armed men in al-Muhammadieh in the outskirts of Algiers and defused a bomb in al-Eibar suburb near the downtown of the capital.

Al-Khabar daily said that two citizens were slaughtered in a village between Humr al-Ein al-Fakroun on the borders between Tepaza and al-Naleida, whereas "al-Alam al-Seyaasi" (political world) daily said that security forces killed three armed men in Skikda province in al-Hajjam woods.
