Damascus hosts Arab industry minister meeting June 22-25

The eighth conference of Industrial Development in the Arab states will be held on June 22 - 25 at the Umayyad's Palace for conferences under the slogan "Arab industry under international development."

The conference, organized by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development in collaboration with the Syrian Ministry of Industry, will discuss a number of issues including international challenges facing Arab industry, partnership between Arab states and industrially advanced countries, the demands of Arab industrial integration, developing the investment climate in the Arab states, the role played by scientific research and research centers in maintaining industrial development, production efficiency and upgrading the competitive ability of Arab products and the experience of the Syrian private industrial sector in industrial development.

Taking part in the said conference are Arab industry ministers, representatives of the Arab League, UNIDO 's director general, director of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and representatives of concerned Arab and foreign scientific establishments.
