Amman hosts Arab symposium on trade and development

Deliberations of a symposium on trade and development in the Arab states organized by the Arab Union for Foodstuffs Industries started today in Amman.
The Symposium, in which Arab delegations representing Arab ministries, institutions concerned and the federations of the chambers of commerce and industry are taking part aims at ensuring stability in Arab trade, especially in foodstuffs ingredients, and detergents and to set plans for improving them.
Participants in the three-day symposium will also discuss the impact of regional and international developments on Arab trade and matters relating to the greater Arab free trade zone. The participants will also discuss the consequences of the new world trade order and Arab foodstuffs' competitiveness and productivity.
