Iranian minister of petroleum will discuss decreasing OPEC's production
Gulf-Iran, Economics, 6/15/1998

Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar-Zanganeh arrived in Doha on Saturday coming from Kuwait on a tour related to the prices of petroleum in international markets.

In Doha the Iranian minister held talks with his Qatari counterpart Abdallah Bin Hamad al-Attiyah that focused on the agenda of OPEC meetings scheduled to be held in Vienna on June 24. Al-Attiyah expressed his hope that the meeting will succeed, confirming that Qatar exerts great efforts in this field.

Namdar-Zanganeh said before leaving Kuwait for Qatar that Iran is ready to further decrease its petroleum production in the case that other petroleum producing nations approve a similar decrease, and Namdar-Zanganeh headed to the United Arab Emirates and Oman to discuss the same subject with officials in those two Gulf states.
