Palestinian sources talk about governmental change
Palestine, Politics, 6/15/1998

Palestinian sources told ArabicNews.com that the consultations for the ministerial change which will be launched by Palestinian President Yasser Arafat have begun.

The sources said that the change will be great and that only four or five ministers will remain from the current government.

The sources said that the reason behind the delay are related to the leadership's attention to issues such as Israeli settlement practices, holding an Arab summit and the Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank provided by the Oslo accords.

They also stated that the head of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Ahmed Querieh, delivered a note yesterday containing the suggestions he views suitable for holding consultative meetings with representative factions within the PLC and outside it aimed at putting options before Arafat to benefit from the ministerial appointments.
