Ibrahim Fawzi, the head of Egypt's General Organization for Investment and Free Zones, announced that exports from free zones to foreign markets increased by 33% during the last month compared to the same month last year, reaching $40.6 million.
Fawzi said that the increase in Egyptian exports to foreign markets is one of the main pivots in the development of the national economy and the economic reform policy which is headed by President Mubarak and implemented by the government of Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri.
Fawzi added that the main attraction of the free zones are the features and facilities provided, that help investors export to international markets.
