Kuwait closes Talha prison

The Kuwaiti minister of interior Sheikh Mohammed al-Khaled al-Sabah announced the closing of the prison of Talha, where a formal statement stated that the detainees in the prison were moved to another center to finalize their judicial status.
The re-evaluation of the prisoners' files lead to the settling of 300 prisoners' cases and their release, while others were distributed among other detention centers.
Sheikh Mohammed El-Khaled has promised the Nation's Council that he will be closing Talha prison after criticism directed by deputies to the government during the previous years due the fact that many were detained illegally and mistreated.
