Rebel group cliams it killed 20 Sudanese soldiers

A statement released on Thursday in Cairo by the opposition Sudan Alliance Forces said that some 20 Sudanese soldiers were killed on Thursday in a battle with opposition fighters which took place in a camp in Um Bureika mountain in eastern Sudan. The statement added that two SAF fighters were slightly wounded.
The SAF is one of seven organizations involved in the Democratic National Coalition, the framework which brings together the Sudanese northern opposition with the rebels in southern Sudan.
