Sanaa says progress made Saudi border dispute

The undersecretary of the Yemeni Foreign Ministry for political affairs, Ghaleb Ali Jamil, said the intensive efforts exerted to resolve permanently the Yemeni-Saudi border dispute have yielded progress.

He stated that the disputes between the two sides revolve around a few kilometers and that the efforts lately exerted by the border committee, have made progress towards ending the dispute.

The Yemeni - Saudi military committee concluded on the day before yesterday after its latest three-day round of talks. The head of the Saudi delegation, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Saleh bin Ali El-Mohaya, stated that the talks focused on preparations in the areas, located within the committee's concern, and following up the arrangements previously agreed upon.

Yemeni Minister of Justice Ismail el-Wazir held intensive talks over the same subject with his Saudi counterpart, Abdallah Ahmed Ghanem, in Jeddah.
