AL denounces Israeli settlement practices

The Arab League on Wednesday denounced the Israeli Interior Ministry's decision to build 58 housing units for Jewish settlers in Jabal al-Zaytoun in occupied Jerusalem.
AL Assistant Secretary-General for Palestinian Affairs Saeed Kamal said that the decision comes within the framework of continuous Israeli practices which are aimed at besieging Jerusalem with settlements to make it lose contact with the West Bank.
Kamal added that the Israeli policy indicates that Israel has no intention to commit itself to the principles of the peace process. He reiterated AL support for the Palestinian people's resistance and struggle to confront the Israeli practices.
