Iranian President confers with Kuwaiti minister

Iranian President Muhammad Khatami on Wednesday received Kuwait's minister of the interior Sheikh al-Khaled al-Sabah in Tehran.
Talks dealt with bilateral relations and means of strengthening and boosting them for the two peoples' interests. The Iranian President expressed hope that the visit of the Kuwaiti minister to Tehran would be another step towards strengthening bilateral understanding into comprehensive political, economic and security cooperation.
The Kuwaiti minister described his talks with Iranian officials as successful. He stressed that Kuwait gives top priority to boosting relations with Iran.
