Iran refutes Israeli report
Iran-Israel, Military, 6/10/1998
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly denied news reported by Israeli circles claiming that Iran asked Pakistan to share nuclear technology.
The spokesman, Mahmoud Muhammadi said Iran does not need such programs, but it advises India and Pakistan not to go far into a nuclear race, stressing that the Pakistani bomb which the Israelis are talking about has become the cover story in the Israeli media. Muhammadi stated that goal of such Israeli maneuvers is to justify its won nuclear ability, build up its arsenal, and avoid joining the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
