Mousa Abu Marzouk's wife prevented from entering Gaza
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 6/9/1998
Israeli forces at Rafah passage between Egypt and Palestine prevented the wife of Mousa Abu Marzouk, a member of Hamas political bureau, to visit her family in Gaza although she was carrying a Palestinian identity card and passport and has the right to live in Gaza. She is already living with her husband in Jordan.
Her three sons, who were carrying U.S. passports, were allowed to enter, but Marzouk's wife insisted on staying at Rafah until she is allowed in. She has been waiting since yesterday, deciding to protest until she is allowed to enter.
Meanwhile, Hamas will hold a special reception at Rafah passage to receive Sheikh Yassin after his tour of the region, in spite of concerns that Israel might refuse Yassin entry into the Palestinian territories.
