Medical agreement between Jordan and Iraq

In the course of the current visit to Baghdad by Jordan's Minister of Health Ashraf Kurdi, Jordan and Iraq signed an agreement regarding medical cooperation where Jordan will provide help to Iraqi hospitals Jordan will provide help to Iraqi hospitals.

The Health Ministries in Iraq and Jordan are now holding a medical week in Baghdad, aimed at promoting Jordanian medicines because Iraqi doctors refuse to prescribe Jordan-made medicines for patients, saying that they were useless and do not meet international medicine standards.

The Iraqi Ministry of Health is to hold a medical week in Amman in the next week, officials at Jordanian Ministry of Health told reporters.

Ashraf Kurdi, in his visit to Baghdad, heads a 100-doctor and pharmacist team who are to help the Iraqi people, who suffer under the sanctions imposed on Iraq by the UN Security Council.
