Israeli-Palestine Gaza airport negotiations held
Palestine-Israel, Local, 6/8/1998

Palestinian sources confirmed that there were Palestinian - Israeli negotiations yesterday evening at the house of the U.S. ambassador in Tel Aviv, with the participation of the secretary-general of the Palestinian Cabinet, El-Taib Abdul Rehim, and the highest Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat.

The sources said that the discussions concentrated on the inauguration of Gaza airport and the industrial region in Gaza affiliated to the Palestinian government.

These meetings come within Israeli predications about Israel's intention to accept the U.S. initiative that dictates an Israeli withdrawal from 13% of the West Bank.

Meanwhile, Arab communications continue to prepare for holding an Arab summit for taking a strong Arab position against Israel in order to pressure Israel to implement its signed agreements with Palestine.
