Arab Organization for Administrative Development meetings begin

The Arab Organization for Administrative Development held its 36th exceptional session on the level of ministers and the bodies leaders responsible for administrative reform in the Arab states, headed by Abdul-Rahman Naur El-Din, the state minister for laborers in Sudan.
The meeting will discuss the plan and budget for the organization's employees in the years 1999 and 2000.
Meanwhile, Beshara Marhieg, the Lebanese minister of state for administrative development, confirmed the importance of uniting the Arab efforts to confronting the challenges presented by globalization. He expressed his hope that these meetings will have positive results enhancing Arab cooperation in the field of administrative development.
Delegations from Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia participated in the meetings, in addition to delegations from 12 Arab countries.
