Arafat continues tours to advance Arab summit

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat continued his tour of Arab states to advance his call for an urgent Arab summit. Arafat arrived in Yemen from Oman to hold talks with Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh about the crisis in the peace process.
Upon receiving Arafat, the Yemeni president announced that his country supports the convening of an expanded summit that all Arab states can attend after time for preparations, primarily in order to enhance Arab solidarity and take a united stance towards the peace process.
Arafat will also visit Sudan and Mauritania within his tour that also included stops in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
