Syrian Baath party assistant secretary confers with Uruguay deputy

Assistant Secretary general of the Syrian Baath Arab socialist party Abdullah al-Ahmar on Wednesday received Uruguayan parliament member Alem Garcia, who is the candidate of the white national party for Presidential election and member of the executive committee of Fe-Arab.
Talks dealt with relations between the Baath Party and the National Party in Uruguay, conditions in the two regions and issues of mutual concern. Talks also covered Fe-Arab activities and cultural activities carried out by the Arab community in Uruguay to consolidate and foster friendship and cooperation ties between Syria and Uruguay.
