Syria's role in Lebanon not bargained, Lebanese deputy says

Deputy Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Eli Eirzli has underlined the Syrian political, military and security role in Lebanon, noting this key role is a Lebanese decision, which is not subject to bargaining.
In a pre-departure statement he made in Kuwait on Wednesday concluding a three-day official visit, Ferezli added that the Syrian role in Lebanon has become an integral part of Lebanese national reconciliation.
The Lebanese parliamentarian called upon the US and the international community to pressure Israel to abide by UN resolution 425 provided for Israel's immediate and unconditional withdrawal from South Lebanon.
