Islamic broadcasting experts meet in Riyadh

The first meeting of expert engineers on modern methods of television and radio broadcasting in the Islamic states was concluded on Thursday in Riyadh.
The participants in the meeting discussed several issues forwarded by participating delegations pertaining to digital technology in radio broadcasting, the latest developments in television broadcasting and the document of the international conference on the development of modern telecommunications and technologies in the media.
The meeting's participants approved several recommendations that would help develop television and radio cooperation among the Islamic states on a scientific basis. The participants represented Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Tunis, Kuwait, Palestine, Oman, Iran, Pakistan and Senegal.
